“Em nome da rosa, Botão de rosa,
Maria rosa, Escandalosa, Espinhosa, Ainda não é idosa,
Dona rosa, Rosa murcha,
Rosa que germina,
Para ser feminina...”

Artist graduated from the Federal University of the Espírito Santo, the capixaba(people from that state) Rita Gava has always directed her work within the artistic market. As a marchand she has promoted events and shows of several national artists. She has worked with mosaics on useful pieces, like tables and chairs, but lately she has invested in her painting.

Rita has already done several shows of her own paintings, like: Rosas que falam e Peixes que Namoram, of 2000, in which the color and the predominance of flowers and sea related things marked this phase of the artist. The universe of the woman was pictured at the show Faces e Disfarces, in which texts of sevral artists from Espírito Santo accompanied her paintings.
Her latest show is “Em nome da Rosa” with frames of flowers and pink color predominance are part of the screens. Another work of Rita are her poetry always accompanying her frames and her shows. Here in this page there´s a sample of the poetry “Em nome da rosa”.

The artist who lives in Pipa since 2003 is also a kitchen chef and has a restaurante in town. Her works can be seen at the Restaurant Panela de Barro, in the Main beach of Pipa.
