PIPA TOTAL SUMMER

Conceived and run by businesswoman Eleni Maria Faria, Pipa Total Summer, more than an event, is an incentive for sports for all generations. The event really took off in 2007, its second year, attracting athletes from numerous locations including the neighbouring state of Paraiba.

Fresco ball, children’s soccer, foot-volley, cycling and swimming were some of the categories of competition last year. One popular attraction was the inclusion of special-needs swim students from Projeto Afeto, as well as the presence of athletes of national distinction in their categories and medal-winners from the latest Para-Panamerican games. The organizer is already planning the next Pipa Total Summer, and with each version the number of participants grows and the practice and enjoyment of sports is spread ever wider in Pipa.
