Every Weekend, New Year's till Carnaval

MULTICULTURAL FESTIVAL PIPA CORNERS

Since the summer of 2007, the Municipal Secretary of Tourism, along with Pipa's cultural and business groups, have promoted the “Pipa Em Cantos” (Backstreets Of Pipa) Multicultural Festival. Diverse music, dance and theatre groups perform at venues such as Tribus Bar, the Book Shop and Fisherman's Plaza, with the singular intent of presenting a show of culture in the various corners of Pipa.

”Pipa Em Cantos” starts on the first weekend after New Year's and lasts through the weekend before Carnaval, showcasing the area's best of regional culture. Performances start on Fridays at 8 pm, and continue on Saturdays and Sundays in the same time slot.

With a growing influx of tourists, hundreds of spectators (visitors and residents both) are charmed by the wealth of talent shown during this period; a guaranteed way to catapult Pipa to the world stage while highlighting the magic of her people, her customs, her music, her moves...
