HOLIDAY WEEKENDS
During the vacation months, Pipa is a non-stop hotspot. When vacation
ends, the weekends continue of course, and tourists both from both
in-state and neighbouring states take the opportunity to chill in our
warm waters. But the real party happens on long weekends, when a
holiday happens to fall on a Friday or Monday--that’s when Pipa is
transformed. Normally a calm scene without major traffic on the beaches
or in the streets, on these weekends Pipa takes on a different aura.
Cars every which way, tourists on all the beaches.
Regional tourism takes hold of Pipa, practically creating an off-season
New Year’s. The biggest draws, especially for the business and hotel
sectors, are Easter week, Independence Day (September 07), Our Lady of
Aparecida (October 12) and All Saints Day (November 02)--these last two
dates already on the upswing of summer, with the Culinary Festival
packing in visitors, and that’s when Pipa really comes to life. It’s
worth savouring these moments, it breathes new life into work and
school for the rest of the year, and Pipa is the perfect place to
recharge your battery.
